In case you have forgotten since yesterday, my birthday is still scheduled for this Saturday. You will of course recall that I'm turning 32, so be sure to cram all the candles onto the cake. No wussing out by using just the number candles; it should have the numbers AND 32 individual smaller candles. I'd prefer a white cake with chocolate frosting, but if you're feeling bold, you could venture into the fruity cakes -- lime, pineapple upside down, etc. Or red velvet cake. I've never had it, and even though it scares me a little bit, I'd like to try it.

I saw on the food network that red velvet cake is made red by pulverizing a whole bunch of bugs that have red guts.

I don't know - maybe that's too bold.

Red velvet cake was my traditonal birthday cake when I was a kid. My friends even had one made for me at favorite my karaoke bar, back when I had a social life a few years ago. It was shaped like a naked female body. I ate the cherry.

I don't know about the bug guts; my mom just used whatever toxic red dye was available at the time. I think I remember something about it turning the poop red......

Red velvet is the BEST. Especially when it has gobs of cream cheese frosting. If I were there, I'd make you one. (Brasidas)

LHC -- you're just trying to gross me out. I understand you and your wiley tricks.

Kent -- Don't knock it; Yoda's dead sexy.

Brasidas -- Aw! Of course you would. You rock my socks off.
